"I worked for Dialectus as a freelance translator for extreme sports programs from spring 2011 until autumn 2012 (there were some months during autumn 2011 when I didn't work for them). At first, I got payments on time or at least after I had reminded the company about them. Then, there started to be excuses why they didn't pay me. I mainly emailed with the CEO, Isabel Monteiro, who always had some excuses for not to pay or not to answer me, like when she was too sick, when she had to take care of her mother or a friend whose family had died in a car crash, when Dialectus was taking legal actions against its own former employees about some cartel maneuvers and so on. I don't know if the things she told me were true at all... I even suggested that Dialectus would pay me some sum every month to reduce their debt to me, but that never worked out. The debt Dialectus owes me is from July 2011/December 2011 until August 2012 and the sum is around 7700 EUR. I am using a debt collecting agency to force them to pay but that hasn't succeeded yet. Last time I had contact with Dialectus, they said that they hadn't money to even cover all their expenses, which doesn't sound good at all...

I think I should have stopped working for Dialectus right away after noticing that they hadn't paid me on time. Still I continued working for them for almost a year and waited patiently for their payments. I feel ashamed of this, but I really liked the projects I was getting from them and otherwise the employees there seemed nice. Some months after I had stopped working for them, Isabel had the nerve to contact me and offer me more work, even though they hadn't paid me or contacted me in any way regarding the payments. After this I employed the debt collecting agency.

I can't participate in the protests as I live so far away, but I will be there in the spirit. Thank you very much for the support and the action against this treacherous company! I really hope that Dialectus is going to pay eventually!"
